Saddle Horse Report received the sad news from Land O’Lakes, Florida that world’s grand champion trainer Don Judd passed away Tuesday, July 17 following a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was 80.

Legendary trainer Greg Carstens passed away today July 18, 2018 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his son Austin and daughter Kristen and four grandchildren.

Far West Regional and Country Classic Cancelled

The Country Classic hosting the Far West Regional, to be held July 11-15, has been cancelled due to low entries from the Morgan and Saddlebreds. The Hunter/Jumper show that was also coinciding at the same venue has also been cancelled due to low entries.

First Look at American Saddlebred Museum’s Renovation

Everyone is invited to a reception at the American Saddlebred Museum at 4083 Iron Works Parkway, Lexington on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The event is the first opportunity to experience the Museum’s newly renovated Gift Shop and gallery and featured exhibit Red Mile Reminisces: A Look Back at the Lexington Junior League Horse Show.

The deadline to enter your yearlings in the big money Yearling Breeders Open Class at the KSF WCHS is Monday, July 2, 2018. The Stallion Sweeps Committee has pledged a $35,000 bonus to the 2018 Yearling Breeders Open Class.
