UPHA Announces Ribbons of Service Changes

The UPHA has made several exciting changes to its Ribbons of Service program! In an effort to include college students, the program participant age has increased to 21 & under. Participation levels have been developed as an incentive to reward youth with gifts and recognition for completing community service hours and collecting donations for their approved nonprofit charity.

$10,000 Added to the 2019 ASR Two-Year-Old Sweepstakes Classes

Representatives of the Virginia Horse Center and ASHAV sponsors have graciously pledged $10,000 ($5,000 per class) in added prize money for the 2019 ASR Two-Year-Old Sweepstakes classes, which will be held at the Virginia Horse Center during the 2019 ASHAV Fall show.

Renowned Lexington photographer, Stevie Bagdesarian (Stevie B Photo), will have her first gallery show June 9, 2018 at M.A.D.S. Gallery from 1pm to 3:30pm. Obituary-Dr. Simon Fredricks

Dr. Simon Fredricks, a pioneer in the field of plastic surgery, passed away peacefully on May 23rd, at the age of 92. Outside of his professional life, he and his wife Rhoda were fixtures in the American Saddlebred community. Simon became a nationally-recognized breeder of Saddlebred horses and raised many world champions under the family moniker, Simbara Farms.
