The Illinois State Fair Society Horse Show Session I will be held August 6-10, 2018 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Illinois. The show hosts Saddlebreds, Hackneys, Shetlands, Roadsters and Welsh ponies and is always an important stop before the World’s Championship Horse Show. |

Peyton Hamilton, show manger for the Summer Daze Regional Morgan Horse Show announced that Lyle Wick of Hugo, Minnesota will judge the July 4-7 event. The show will be again be held in the air-conditioned facilities at the American Royal Complex, Kansas City, Missouri with the classes being held in Hale Arena, home to the UPHA/American Royal National Championship and UPHA Chapter 5. |

Dr. Steve Gilman of Ocala, Florida, passed away February 26 at his home. He was 83. Dr. Gilman was born in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, moving to Ocala in 1965. He was a 1960 graduate of University of Florida with a medical degree in Orthopaedic Surgery. It was there that he also met his lovely bride to be, Mary Lou DeNyse. |

Nearly $75,000 was raised at the 2018 AMHA/WMF Stallion Service Auction. The net income following expenses from this auction go to Morgan breed promotion and will be distributed to the World Morgan Futurity, AMHA regional shows, the AMHA Show Grant Program, and AMHA's Marketing and Promotion. |
