Veterinarian to the Celebrities to Conduct Seminars at KHP

LEXINGTON, KY - Pet owners and veterinarians will have an exciting opportunity to personally meet and hear one of America’s most famous veterinarians, Dr. Martin Goldstein (Dr. Marty), in two seminars the Kentucky Horse Park.

Dr Marty, who received his DVM from Cornell University, is considered by many experts and thousands of satisfied clients to be America’s foremost holistic veterinarian.  However, holistic medicine does not truly define Dr. Marty’s practice.  His successes and fame have been earned through his ability to combine the best of both conventional and holistic medicine, a practice referred to as “integrative medicine.”

Having achieved astounding results in patients suffering from cancer, kidney failure, blindness, etc., he has been sought by people all over the world to give their pets a new chance at a healthy life. Among Dr. Marty’s many patients are the pets of Oprah Winfrey and Martha Stewart.  He has appeared on their TV programs and on Good Morning America.  Every Monday night, he can be heard on Ask Martha’s Vet on Sirius Radio, where he discusses his proactive approach to health.

On Saturday, September 29 from 5 to 9pm, Dr. Marty will discuss his approach and present many of his case reports from over 20 years to veterinarians, animal behaviorists and other animal professionals at the Kentucky Horse Park.  The seminar is approved for four hours of continuing education credits and will include a discussion on the successful use of conventional treatment modalities in concert with alternative therapies.  The $100 fee is payable to “Goldstein Seminar” and may be purchased through Dog’s Day at 859-389-8858 or www.dogs-day.net.

On the following Sunday, September 30, from 2-5pm there will be a presentation for pet owners and the general public on restoring your pet’s health.  He will discuss pet nutrition, wellness and disease.  Tickets for this event are $30 and can be purchased from Jim Seidelman at 859-224-7075 or email jeseidelman@msn.com.

All proceeds over expenses will be given to animal charities.  Parking is free for both of these presentations.  Refreshments are included in the ticket price.

Park Hours and Rates: From March 15 through October 31, the park is open seven days a week.  Admission is $15 for adults, $8 for children 7-12.  Children six and under are always admitted free of charge.  Admission includes the International Museum of the Horse – In Association with the Smithsonian Institution - and the American Saddlebred Museum.
