2006 USEF Annual Meeting Will Now Be Held In Cincinnati January 11th – 15th

Lexington
, KY – The 2006 United States Equestrian Federation annual meeting, previously scheduled to take place in New Orleans, has been relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza hotel.  The dates for the convention will remain January 11th – 15th.

“We were very much looking forward to meeting in New Orleans but USEF was one of hundreds of organizations that had to relocate their convention as a result of the devastating hurricane. The Netherland Plaza is a beautiful Art Deco historic landmark and Cincinnati is easily accessible from anywhere in the country.  Our convention will proceed exactly as planned but in another location,” said John Long, Chief Executive Officer of the USEF.

The New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau is assisting organizations that had planned their conventions in New Orleans with relocation to another city.  For every organization relocating their event to Cincinnati from the Gulf area, the Cincinnati Convention and Visitors Bureau will donate $2.00 per room night to the American Red Cross in that organization’s name.

The Hilton Netherland Plaza is a AAA 4-Diamond property and has recently been renovated.  It is located at 35 West Fifth Street and is the hub of the city’s convenient Skywalk System providing easy access to shopping and entertainment.
