2003 UPHA Classics Incentive Yearling Sale

Yearlings purchased thru the Friday evening, October 24, 2004, TSE Tattersall’s sale, will be exclusively eligible as three-year-olds, when shown in the 2005 UPHA Classic classes, to compete for incentive money raised from the proceeds of this sale.

The initial $500 entry fee for each yearling constitutes the proceeds for payouts in the 2005 UPHA Classic National Championships at the UPHA/American Royal National Championship horse show in Kansas City, Mo. These proceeds go to the highest placing UPHA Classics Incentive eligible colt or filly in each of the four Saddlebred National Championship Classics.

TSE Tattersalls will donate a percentage of the Yearling Sale proceeds to the UPHA Classics Incentive Program, and these proceeds constitute the payouts for eligible colts or fillies in the 2005 UPHA Classics qualifying classes. The purse will be divided evenly, up to $1,000 per class, won by a UPHA Classics Incentive eligible colt or filly.

The 39 entries that sold in the inaugural 2002 UPHA Classics Incentive Yearling Sale will be exclusively eligible as three-year-olds in 2004 for a prize money payout of $28,337 ($21,000 in the UPHA Classics National Championships at the UPHA American Royal National Championship Horse Show, and $7,337 in local UPHA Classics).

Yearlings that were sold through last year’s inaugural sale include Two-Year-Old Three-Gaited (Div. II) World’s Champion Marching Orders, Reserve World’s Champion Kentucky Amateur Futurity Two-Year-Old In-Hand King Crimson and Mystic Pointe, fourth in the Two-Year-Old Fine Harness Stallion/Gelding Stake at this year’s Kentucky State Fair.
