UPHA Classics Incentive Saddlebred Yearling Sale

The 5th Annual UPHA Classics Incentive Yearling Sale will be held on November 16, 2007 in conjunction with the UPHA American Royal National Championship Horse Show in Kansas City, MO.

The purpose of this sale is to raise incentive money to be paid back on the local and national levels in the UPHA Classics program, offering breeders a viable marketplace for their yearlings.  Yearlings purchased through the 2007 sale will be eligible as three year olds in 2009, to compete for the incentive money raised from this sale. An eligible horse that wins a UPHA qualifying class in 2009 with three or more entries competing will be awarded bonus money from the 2007 sale proceeds as well as the already existing prize money payout. The culmination will be at the 2009 UPHA American Royal National Championship Horse Show, when bonus money will be awarded to the eligible horse that placed highest in the following UPHA Classics Championships:

UPHA Three Year Old Five-Gaited

UPHA Three Year Old Three-Gaited

UPHA Three Year Old Fine Harness

UPHA Three Year Old Park Pleasure

Eligible yearlings for the program automatically include those purchased through the UPHA sale. All yearlings will be presented through the sales arena as they would be shown under United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) guidelines.

Entries close October 10th, 2007. An initial entry fee of $500.00 payable to UPHA Classics Incentive Yearling Sale is required. Original registration papers and a completed entry blank must also be enclosed.  Ten Percent (10%) of the bonus money paid at the 2009 UPHA American Royal National Championship Horse Show will be awarded to the consignors of the 2007 yearlings.
