Touring the Bluegrass - Alliance Stud

On Friday April 18, Saddle Horse Report toured Alliance Stud in Simpsonville, Kentucky to promote the new breeders’ tools at SaddleHorseReport.com.

Alliance is run by Dr. Scott Bennett, along with business manager Erin Yates. They stand eight stallions to the public, including WC Belle Reve's Renaissance Man, Born Contender, Burning Flame, WC-sire General Steel, the Morgan star Hollybrook Stage Rage, WC-sire Our Charm, WC Simply Majestic, and Ultimatum

Here are a few of the pictures from a beautiful day at Alliance Stud.

The entrance to Alliance Stud

A colt by Belle Reve’s Renaissance Man and out of CH Marilyn McCoo, by Harlem Globetrotter.

His dam, CH Marilyn McCoo, was a jet black star in the Ladies Three-Gaited division. Larry Hodge drove her to a Three-Year-Old Fine Harness Mare Reserve World’s Championship in 1990.

This colt is by WC Simply Majestic and out of Anacacho’s Desdemona, by Farr’s Thunder Road and out of a Yorktown mare. Farr’s Thunder Road is by Attaché, so the mare traces back to Wing Commander top and bottom, a nice outcross for the double doses of Valley View Supreme in Simply Majestic’s pedigree.

This little guy has all kinds of attitude. He is by Born Contender and out of Vintage, a Bi-Mi Sultan’s Wine mare and the dam of Strawberry Pie. Born Contender is by Attaché’s Born Believer and out of a Yorktown mare. His second dam is CH Beverly’s Sweet Someone, a Ladies Three-Gaited Over 15.2 World’s Champion in 1978 with Jean McLean Davis.
