Team Morgan Vs. South Africa: Horses Needed for Competition

The American Morgan Horse Association (AMHA) and the Bluegrass Morgan Classic Horse Show will be hosting a multi-discipline "horsemanship" competition, July 4-7, 2012, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. Five riders from each team will compete in both performance and equitation patterns in hunter seat, saddle seat, and pleasure driving. Event organizers are seeking 12 horses for this competition. The Bluegrass Morgan Classic has graciously offered to provide stalls and bedding at no charge. Horses need to be sound, fit, and capable of wearing a full bridle. These may be show horses or lesson horses. Riders will provide saddles, and can groom/tack horses if needed. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase Morgan horses. Organizers very much want to use Morgans in this competition, but will unfortunately have to seek other breeds to fill the roster if enough Morgans are not found. Please consider offering a Morgan horse for this event. Gayle Singer is coordinating the effort and can be reached at (317) 435-0134.
