Taylor Shiflet Continues to Improve



On Saturday morning, June 9, Taylor Shiflet, daughter of Harrison and Beverly Shiflet, was injured while riding a Quarter Horse at her family's farm in Mooresboro, North Carolina

 

Taylor was airlifted to Spartanburg Regional Hospital.  Later that night, Taylor underwent surgery to realign her vertebrae and to relieve pressure on her brain from the swelling.  Taylor was placed in a medically induced coma to allow her body to rest and recover during the first week. 

 

Taylor’s condition progressed well, and on Thursday, June 14, doctors began reducing the medications that maintained the induced coma.  Taylor has continued to make progress. She is resting and improving each day.
