Sensational Park Saddle Stallion Competition Brings Grand National To The Midpoint

The 2007 Grand National and World Championship Morgan Horse Show came to its midpoint with a sensational Tuesday night climax in the Park Saddle Stallions. Many on the rail and in the stands commented that this was perhaps the best park saddle class to grace the Oklahoma coliseum in many years. Following a final trot, HVK Vibrance, Lamborgini In Black, Stand And Deliver, Stonecroft Trilogy and The Real Deal lined up to the cheers of a most enthusiastic audience. Following the tabulations, announcer Peter Fenton welcomed the brilliant Lamborghini In Black and David Rand to the winner’s circle with a unanimous victory for Dr. Grace Steere. The audience cheered on each of the five horses as their ribbons were announced in appreciation of their outstanding performances to put an exclamation point on a great day of classes.

Tuesday featured a wealth of top competitions in the three rings with performance, equitation, trail, carriage, and hunter/jumper classes showing the talent and versatility of the Morgan breed. The young horse competition featured a trio of World Futurity Championships. The Three-Year-Old Park Harness kicked off the afternoon session in style with Bellerophon (HVK Bell Flaire x Carmen Sandiego) besting the field for the honors. The Two-Year-Old Park Harness followed suit during the evening session with Indian Creek American Girl (Mizrahi x Cache) cashing in on the top prize. A grand field of 17 competed in the Three-Year-Old English Pleasure with Graycliff Tony (Mizrahi x Pomp And Pazazz) earning a trip down victory lane.

The Youth Hunter Pleasure earned the distinction as the largest class of the day with 35 entries divided into two sections with a show-back. The world titled team of MEM Virtual Insanity and Lauren Booth carried top honors back to New Hampshire. The AMHA Western Seat Medal Finals featured Jenna Britt jogging away with the gold medal honors under the direction of Judy Nason. For complete Tuesday results, **CLICK HERE**.
