Saddlebreds to be Featured at Breyerfest

Lexington, Ky. – As part of the model horse convention known as BreyerFest – taking place this weekend at the Kentucky Horse Park – Doctor Zhivago, the 2005 Three-Year-Old Fine Harness World’s Champion, is being honored by Breyer with a limited edition porcelain portrait model. The black and white pinto stallion’s owner, Michelle Macfarlane of Scripps Miramar Ranch, has specifically made the trip from San Diego to exhibit Doctor Zhivago to an anticipated BreyerFest crowd of over 6,000 from around the country.

A sterling silver parade pack of five Scripps Miramar American Saddlebreds will present the colors during the event’s opening ceremonies at 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 20th and will perform a reprise at the closing ceremonies, set for approximately 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 22. The “Stars & Stripes” theme of this year’s BreyerFest recognizes breeds, like the American Saddlebred, that have influenced the heritage of the nation.

Macfarlane will also hold demonstrations with Doctor Zhivago and another World’s Champion, Chubasco son CHLike Thunder. Those exhibitions will be Friday at 3:10 p.m., Saturday at 11:45 a.m. and Sunday at 12:50 p.m.

Breyer is featuring this porcelain model
