Saddlebred versatility demonstration Tuesday, May 30 at Devon Horse Show and Country Fair

Lexington, Kentucky ­– Twelve American Saddlebred horses will demonstrate the versatility of the breed on Tuesday, May 30, 8:05 p.m. EDT, at the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair in Pennsylvania.

 

Julie Lynn Andrew has put together a team of twelve horses from across the United States that will perform to rock ‘n roll classics in multiple disciplines, including combined driving, pleasure driving, show jumping, western pleasure, dressage, fine harness and five-gaited.

 

Andrew said the demonstration has the potential to showcase the versatility of the breed very well.

 

“The Devon Horse Show attracts the very best competitors from every breed and discipline and draws an appreciative and horse-savvy crowd numbering the tens of thousands through their gates,” Andrew said.  “We are so honored to have the opportunity to share our secret with them -- that the American Saddlebred is the world's best ‘show horse’ as well as the best partner for any discipline.”

 

Also participating with Andrew are Dr. Suzanne Kloud, whose Saddlebred gelding Hanky Panky Spanky (registered Barry Be Good) is in training with Olympic gold medalist Phillip Dutton, Sue and Adam Skipper and The Lady Stella, Pat Johnson and CHA Magic Surprise, Dr. Nancy Trent and Ultimate Fire, Jessica Moctezuma and All Show, Jason Molback and My Dakota, Kathy Osnoe and Harlem’s Beau Dandy, Cassi Wentz and Fame’s Favour, Megan Adams and Genius Poetic Justice, Allyson Ehle and Homecoming Heir, Sandy Rabinowitz and Sequoia (registered Desdemona’s Wild Chance), and Karen McCollum and Pearl.

 

The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair, in Devon, Pennsylvania, is held on the “Main Line,” about 20 miles west of PhiladelphiaDevon is the Northeast’s largest multi-breed outdoor horse show, and the location is among America’s oldest and most picturesque show grounds.
