2006 Saddle Seat World Cup World Cup Dates Changed; Fundraiser Planned



 

The US Saddle Seat Equitation World Cup has received official word that the dates for the 2006 International Saddle Seat World Cup competition have been changed.  The event has moved one week later and will now be held December 4 – 10, 2006. The prestigious international competition will be held at South Africa’s premier equestrian facility, the Parys Indoor Arena in Parys, South Africa.

 

The US will be taking on teams from Canada, Great Britain, Namibia and South Africa in an effort to match the double gold medal performances turned in by TEAM USA in the fall of 2004.

 

The members of the 2006 US Saddle Seat World Cup Teams are:

 

Three-Gaited

Alexis Scott (Des Moines, IA)

Sarah Taylor (Davison, MI)

Deveau Zubrod (Versailles, KY and Westerville, OH)

Mandy Martin (Alternate) (Diamondhead, MS)

 

Five-Gaited

Ashley Alden (Deer Park, IL)

Jamie Bender (Springfield, NE)

Brooke Jacobs (Georgetown, KY)

Ali Judah (Louisville, KY)

Cristina Sloan (Hallsville, MO)

Rachael North (Alternate) (Goshen, KY)

 

The coaches and managers for the 2006 teams are:

 

Three-Gaited

Five-Gaited

Lynda Freseth – Coach (Oconomowoc, WI)

Liz McBride-Jones – Manager (Raeford, NC)
