Rare Opportunity to Tour a Horse Hospital!

LEXINGTON, KY ---  Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital, one of the foremost equine veterinary hospitals in the world, is inviting attendees of the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event* at the Kentucky Horse Park to observe an equine veterinary demonstration and enjoy a veterinary hospital tour on Thursday, April 27.  The demonstration and tour are included with Rolex admission, courtesy of Boehringer-Ingelheim, Fort Dodge Animal Health, Kinetic Technologies, and Pfizer Animal Health. These generous sponsors, who are making these hospital tours available free of charge, will make a donation to the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation (which raises money to support the Kentucky Horse Park) to underwrite the cost of the tours.

The featured demonstrations on the tour include a live treadmill endoscopy.  Dr. Brett Woodie will perform this endoscopic exam of a horse galloping on Rood & Riddle’s high-speed treadmill. Following the treadmill demonstration, guests will move to the Podiatry Center to hear a presentation by an equine veterinary podiatrist on therapeutic shoes and shoeing for common foot problems.

Refreshments will be available following the demonstrations and tour.

Buses will depart the Kentucky Horse Park at 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pmTours will return to the Horse Park in approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
