Open House At Cheri Barber Stables

Cheri Barber Stables in Reddick, Fla., was host to a "Grand Cru" wine tasting and Stallion Presentation, Jan. 19, in conjunction with the annual FMHA Awards Banquet. FMHA members and guests enjoyed premier French wines and popular domestic varietals while viewing Barber’s 2008 stallion line-up. Stallions presented were Chase Manhattan, Grand Cru Dom Perignon, Treble's Master Player and the legendary Tug Hill Commando.
The Tropical Trotters Youth Group was entertained with a breeding philosophy program. Insights into individual pedigrees were also highlighted. Junior members were offered mini-wine tasting with a choice of Grand Cru red or white grape juice.
Cheri Barber has hosted a stallion showcase in one form or another since the farm was founded in 1981. Past stallion rosters have included such notables as Treble's Willy Wild, Three Wishes, Gradell's Vigilante, Tug Hill Top Command, Hillock Showson, Suite After, Dancity Ala Bam and Treble's Heartbreaker.
