Oliver Ruxer Arrangements Announced

Lexington, Kentucky – Visitation for Oliver Ruxer, father of breeder, horseman and former ASHA Director Robert K. “Bob” Ruxer, will be Thursday, May 25 at the Becher Kluefner Downtown Chapel, 214 East 7th Street, Jasper, Indiana, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. CST. Funeral services will be Friday, May 26 at 10 a.m. CST at St. Joseph Church, 1020 Kundeck Street, Jasper, Indiana.

Survivors include his wife, Henrietta “Sis” Ruxer; two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Brenda) Himsel of Greenwood, Indiana, and Mrs. Doug (Susan) Abbott of Jasper; one son, Robert K. Ruxer of Jasper; one brother, Jacob Jiggs Ruxer of Jasper; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Church, 1020 Kundeck Street, Jasper, IN 47546; Dubois County Humane Society, P.O. Box 408, Jasper, IN 47546; or Memorial Hospital & Healthcare Center, 800 West 9th Street, Jasper, IN 47546.
