Ohio Buckeye Limited Weanling Stake Stallion Auction

The Ohio Buckeye Limited Weanling Stake will once again be holding an auction of donated stallion services early in 2011, date and location to be announced. Weanlings resulting from these stallion services purchased through the 2011 auction will be eligible to compete in the fall class of 2012. The stallion owner of any donated stallion service sold at the auction will also be eligible to designate a weanling for the class for a fee. Prize money is distributed between the weanling owner and the stallion service donator. Please see rules for more information.

During the recent Ohio Buckeye Limited Weanling class, held September 24, 2010, at the Springfield Charity Horse Show, $15,000 in prize money was awarded, with over $6,000 going to the winning weanling, Mountjoy’s Extra Sweet, sired by Santana Hosanna and owned by David Mountjoy of Lawrenceburg, KY.
