The 2008 Pro-Am Benefit Classic Horse Show of Georgia has announced that its 31st annual horse show, which will be held April 2-5 in Perry, Georgia, will be dedicated to Doug Shiflet. 2008 will be Doug's 30th year of being the Official Horse Show Photographer for the Pro-Am Horse Show.
Also in 2008, the Pro-Am Horse Show will host the UPHA Pink Ribbon Class in the Ladies Five-Gaited Stake which will be the last class on the Friday night schedule. The Ladies Five-Gaited Stake at Pro-Am already has additional prize money added to the class, which is dedicated to Clara Flor who was a long time Pro-Am Board Member as well as UPHA Chapter 17 Chairman. Clara Flor lost her battle with breast cancer in 2005. It is fitting that the show hosts this UPHA Pink Ribbon Class in the division Flor loved so much.
