The New Misty Hills Farm

Misty Hills, located in the countryside near Troy, N.Y., has long been known as a famous and competitive operation promoting American Saddlebreds. Herb and Stacey Headwell have vowed to carry on that tradition by literally starting from the ground up.

In 2004, the Headwells replaced the old barn that was barely standing and built a new one in its place. The new ultra modern facility has a spacious 72 by 270 indoor riding arena with second floor viewing rooms on both ends. The new main barn has 44 12x12 box stalls. All stalls are rubber matted and have automatic waterers. There is also an additional 19 box stalls located in the existing hay barn. This well thought out stable has a central heated tack and cross tie area where up to four horses can be prepared to work at once.

The Headwells are also pleased to announce the arrival of their new staff members John Gregory and Eowyn Eeaton. Gregory will share the training duties along with existing trainer Ryan Fornango. Eaton has joined the staff as assistant trainer.

Together this team is looking forward to the 2006 show season and is preparing to attend the UPHA Chapter 14 Spring Premier as the first show of the season.

Misty Hills will continue to be a strong promoter of the American Saddlebred and Hackney pony. Striving to market top show horses and ponies through out the country.

Visitors are always welcome at Misty Hills and if you are in the area Herb and Stacey invite you to stop by or feel free to call or e-mail them to set up an appointment. Their number is (518) 279-3886 or they can be e-mailed at headwell@mindspring.com.
