Nancy Crabtree Arrangements



 

Nancy Riester Crabtree passed away Sunday, November 29 following hospitalization for a recently diagnosed respiratory disease that worsened. She was 74.

Long the matriarch of the Crabtree family, where she was affectionately known as “Nana,” Crabtree participated in many community projects in addition to her Crabtree Farm involvement. She was well known for her work with the development of the Shelbyville Community Theater and Shelbyville Horse Show.

Her husband, Redd Crabtree and her parents, Paul and Martha Riester, preceded Crabtree in death. Son Casey Crabtree, daughters Anne Crabtree and Susan Fenton and grandchildren Rebecca and Tut Crabtree are among her survivors.

Visitation for Crabtree is Wednesday, December 2 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Shannon Funeral Home in Shelbyville, KY. A memorial service is set for Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Shannon Funeral Home with a reception to follow at the Old Stone Inn in Simpsonville.

Memorials can be made in Crabtree’s memory to the Shelbyville Community Theater, 801 Main Street, Shelbyville, KY 40065.
