Michigan Morgan Horse Breeders Futurity Gala

The Michigan Morgan Horse Breeders Futurity (MMHBF) Board of Directors is hosting its annual gala on February 25, 2012 at the Italian American Club in Livonia, Michigan from 5-10 p.m. The event is hosted as a fundraiser for Futurity prize money and also as a mid-winter get-together of Morgan horse fans who share show and breeding plans with others. The event will feature food, music, and a silent auction of donated items and training services. The Stallion Service Auction concludes the evening with the top ten stallions featured in a live-bid venue (telephone bids are welcome). Further information is available at www.michiganmorganfuturity.com.

In 2011, the MMHBF presented a total of $30,000 in the premier class, the Radon Weanling Spectacular. The Uckele Amateur Yearling Sweepstakes awarded $5,400 to the top ten contenders and their amateur handlers, $500 added Park Saddle and Park Harness Stakes classes for junior horses also were offered, as well as a full range of weanling through four-year-old futurity in-hand and performance classes with paybacks totaling nearly $16,000. Contenders participating in the futurity horse show came from Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois.
