Major Breeding Farm Moves Operations From Kentucky to Windy Hill Farm in Virginia

Windy Hill Farm, Carolyn Folkers, owner, and Karin Folkers-Smith, trainer, are excited to announce a major expansion in their breeding program in partnership with Katy Theodore and George Davenport of Clover Hill Farms.

Clover Hill Farms will be moving from Kentucky and will be in charge of the breeding operation at Windy Hill Farm, Monroe, VA.  Stallions who will be standing to the public include Con Heir, Clover Hill’s In Command, Arts and Letters, Clover Hill’s Lightning Bolt and Clover Hill’s Magic Dragon.  Con Heir was the sire of the 2005 All American Cup Weanling Champion, With Bells On, who won over $50,000 at the All American Horse Classic in Indianapolis, IN.  A select group of broodmares will also be moved to the farm in Virginia.  Mare care and semen transport will be available.

Katy and George have been great supporters of futurities across the country, and George is one of the best futurity handlers today.  In 2006, George led the weanling that won the prestigious Wisconsin Futurity Limited Breeders Stake, winning $28,000.  He has won this class an unprecedented three times.  He has also led numerous World’s and Reserve World’s Champions at Louisville.  Clover Hill Farms are the breeders of WCC CH The Red Ferrari, multiple RWC CH Star Track CHF and many more.

Katy and George should be settled in by the beginning of March.  Visits to the farm are always welcome, but please call first.   For more information, please call (434) 386-4350 or visit www.windyhillfarmhorses.com
