Lowry Stables and Wish for Our Heroes Pay Tribute to Our Troops

Jim and Fay Lowry have partnered with military charity, Wish for Our Heroes, to recognize not only the history and tradition between our U.S. military and the American Saddlebred, but the opportunities for the breed to benefit our men and women who serve. The Lowry’s took time with the troops at the All American Classic in Indianapolis this September to introduce soldiers from Camp Atterbury to the American Saddlebred, in hopes that it would provide an outlet for the troops, and also help the Saddlebred world re-connect with a demographic that has appreciated the breed for years. The Lowry’s are working with Wish for Our Heroes to implement a program where military members can visit show barns or attend horse shows, not only to support our industry, but to provide soldiers with some of the therapeutic benefits we all gain from Saddlebreds.
