Hull Joins Magnolia Stables Staff

Posted January 12, 2001
Annie Hull has joined the staff of Magnolia Stables, Wake Forest, N.C., as assistant trainer/instructor. She joins trainer Catherine Boyd and owners Dan and Brenda Austin.

Hull began showing in 1987 with Anne Speck at Rancho Del Mar in San Diego, Calif. She rode in the eight and under walk and trot and pleasure divisions with Stonewall's Rhodadendron. Hull spent the next several years showing on the West coast under Speck's direction. Some of the horses she has owned include Penny's Charm, Sultan's Free Spirit, The Reigning Knight, and Callaway's Proof Shower. She had wins in the California Professional Horseman's Association Medal finals and the UPHA Chapter 1 Medal finals aboard Sultan's Free Spirit. She also finished in the top three with Royal Rainbow in the Shatner Western Pleasure Finals in St. Louis in 1997.

Hull transferred from Cornell University to Duke University and moved to North Carolina in 1997. She received a Bachelor Of Science degree in psychology from Duke in May 2000. Hull is looking forward to returning to the Saddlebred industry with Magnolia Stables.

"We are thrilled to welcome Annie. She is a very talented and capable assistant with a strong background in the industry," added trainer Catherine Boyd.
