Harlem Globetrotter Passes Away at 32

Kalarama Farm has reported the passing of the great WC Harlem Globetrotter. The jet black stallion was born April 28, 1980. In his 32 years, he sired over 700 horses, including 149 Louisville ribbon winners and 31 Saddlebred Record Champions. Himself a nine-time World’s Champion, Globetrotter was the sire of some of the most wildly athletic horses to grace the show ring, not the least of which was World’s Grand Champion and World’s Champion producer, CH Garland’s Dream.

Sired by New Yorker, he was out of the incomparable Putting On Airs (BHF), a cross that also produced the Broodmare Hall of Fame mare, Yorkshire Pudding. A full tribute to this one-of-a-kind champion will follow in Saddle Horse Report.
