General Steel Passes Away

Many times a World's Champion sire, General Steel was humanely euthanized Wednesday, February 25. Owned by Gil Romito throughout his entire career at stud and for the last 21 years of his life, General Steel will be missed by the Alliance Stud team and the Saddlebred world.
The great son of Penny's Superior Stonewall, out of a New Yorker mare, was born April 3, 1986 to breeder Sheila Fisher of Simpsonville, Kentucky. He sired CH Tamarack's Lightning Strikes, CH Steel In Love, and CH Star Spangled Steel among many other winning get.
