CH Spartan's Special Memories was humanely euthanized on May 10th at the age of 28. A three-time Reserve World Champion Memories, is fondly remembered for her outstanding performances with Dale Pugh as a grand young gaited mare including her fantastic duel in 1985 with Sultan's Matchmaker to win the UPHA 5-Gaited Classic Championship. She then went on to set herself apart in the Ladies division with Meg Salmon Riggin & Glenda Pugh, and further continued her career in the juvenile ranks with Kasey Kendrick & Dominique Dotolo.
Owned & loved by May Chadick for the past 10 years, Memories placed herself deeper into our hearts as an outstanding academy mount for many years. She was one of the first inductees into the National Academy Horse Hall of Fame. Retired several years ago, Memories lived out her remaining years in comfort under the loving care of May & Steve Chadick.
