Delmarva To Hold Fundraising Auction

The Delmarva Morgan Horse Club is pleased to announce a stallion service auction to raise funds for the Delmarva Summer Classic. The auction will be a silent auction and bids can be placed via e-mail or by phone.

Through the generosity of Shingle Branch Farm, Statesman Farm, and Heatherstone Morgans, the breeding services of three topnotch stallions will be available for the consideration of the astute breeder. The Lee family of Shingle Branch Farm offers Astronomicallee, the handsome and popular stallion whose beauty has given many breeders a reason to already choose him for their breeding program. Lynne Shpak of Statesman Farm offers the wonderful sport stallion Chief Of State. He has been the centerpiece of the breeding program of Ms. Shpak’s successful breeding program. The Stump family of Heatherstone Morgans donated the services of GVF Infinite Command, the handsome and talented sire of several show ring winners, including HRS Mirror Image, who has won open and ladies titles on the New England circuit, and reserve world champion KB Infinity And Beyond, a junior classic sensation.

Bids can be place by calling (302) 420-1032 or sending email to [email protected]. The opening bid for each stallion is $500, although we hope to see them go much further. And thanks to kindness of the stallion owners, the funds will assist the club in clearing up finances in an effort to bring back the Delmarva Summer Classic in 2006. The Classic will not be offered in 2005, but due to a great influx of interest, the club is trying to bring it back.

If you have any questions concerning the auction, please contact either Kathy Mullaney (302) 420-1032, or Liz Molin at (302) 653-4346.
