Countdown to St. Louis National Charity Horse Show

Five...four...three...two...

Only a few more days until the official start of the 30th annual St. Louis National Charity Saddlebred Horse Show at the National Equestrian Center in Lake St. Louis, MO. The trademark tri-color medallions have been put into place, the center ring is being prepared and decorated, the traditional autumn mums will appear throughout the facilities, the parties are being planned, and 520 stalls (up nearly 20% from last year) are being prepared for their equine guests that will begin to arrive over the weekend.

We completed a very successful St. Louis National Charity Hunter/Jumper Horse Show last week, culminating with the $25,000 Budweiser Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon. Now we have shifted into high gear in preparation for the Saddlebred show – scheduled for 26 – 29 September.

The Saddlebred show commences on Wednesday morning and finishes up on Saturday night with the American Saddlebred 5-Gaited RS Palmer Memorial Stake and the Saddle & Bridle Western Shatner Finals. Both the Hunter/Jumper Show and Saddlebred Show numbers (horses and exhibitors) are up this year with new and returning barns, a list of world champions entered, and treasured sponsors – making it even more special as we celebrate our charity, Longmeadow Rescue Ranch. The relationship between St. Louis National Charity Horse Show and Longmeadow continues to grow and thrive as we work together to support the different aspects of equestrian sports and animal interests.

Thanks to everyone who makes this show possible and has allowed the St. Louis National Charity Horse Show to maintain such a rich tradition for 30 years! As September slowly moves in and out of Indian summer weather...we look forward to seeing new and old friends, exciting competition and having a lot of fun. Hope to see you at the Charity!
