Canine Death - COCOA

Cocoa, beloved chocolate Labrador Retriever owned by Chuck and Lynn Hutchinson, of World Champion Horse Equipment and Horse World Magazine, died Nov. 10, at the age of 16, in Shelbyville, Tenn.

Cocoa traveled throughout the country with Chuck and Lynn and was known throughout the horse industry. She was a fixture at horse shows and could often be found making the rounds of the food vendors or waiting patiently in line for the treats (hopefully cheeseburgers) that many people purchased for her.

She had a great long life and many fans around the country and she loved her perch in the World Champion Horse Equipment truck visiting with those who came in to shop or chat. One of the highlights in recent years was her participation in the Hutchinson’s wedding in 2002. It definitely wouldn’t have been the same without her.

Cocoa will be sadly missed by her family, friends and fans around the country and her “brothers” Doogie and Harvey.
