Austin Van Wyck passes away




The show committee of the American Saddlebred Futurity Horse Show and the board of directors of the American Saddlebred Association of Arizona announced the untimely passing of long time Saddlebred supporter and show manager Austin Van Wyck, Jr. Van Wyck passed away in his sleep on Aug. 25, 2005. He was with his wife of many years, Toni, preparing for the Oregon State Fair Horse Show. Van Wyck managed this show for many years.
   

In a  show of support reminiscent of Van Wyck’s commitment to Arizona Futurity Horse Show, his son, Austin Van Wyck III, has graciously accepted an offer to complete the work started by his father at the 31st annual show. The show will be held Oct. 28-30 at Westworld in Scottsdale, Ariz.
