ASR Futurity Payout Hits Seven-Year High

Lexington, Ky. – The grand total payout for the American Saddlebred Registry Amateur, Kentucky and National Three-Year-Old Futurities was a combined $272,663.88 – the most in the last seven years. That figure eclipses last year’s total by more than $20,000, representing a nine percent increase.

The most significant increase came in the ASR National Three-Year-Old Futurity, awarding 17 percent more in 2007 than in 2006. The ASR Kentucky Futurity distributed nearly $3,000 more than it did last year. The ASR Amateur Futurity remained consistent with its 2006 total.

This year’s increase represents the biggest jump from one year to the next since the turn of the century. The previous high in total payout was $251,744 in 2004.
