Lexington, Ky. – ASHA Youth Club the White Star Show Stoppers of Cave Creek, Arizona, raised more than $1,200 for charity recently in the second annual White Star Show Stoppers Chili Cook Off and Consignment Sale.
Twenty contestants entered into the chili cook off with five grand prize winners determined during the event in Cave Creek, where this White Star Stables youth club is based. The consignment sale featured saddles and bridles, riding suits, boots, derbies, horse artwork, books and more.
The proceeds went to Dreamchaser PMU Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located at the Dunrovin Horse Ranch in New River, Arizona. Dreamchaser PMU is a horse rescue and horse adoption facility, which was created to rescue the mares and foals that are discarded by the drug industry. Through its agents, Dreamchaser PMU purchases these horses – housing, feeding and gentling them – with the goal of placing them into permanent homes through its adoption program.
