AMHA/AMHI Ebay Auction Set To Begin

This month marks the third season of the successful AMHA/AMHI Ebay Morgan Auction. Thanks to all the generous donors and bidders more than $50,000 has been raised. As you might know, the funds raised through this internet auction have helped to purchase a new laser printer, telephone and voice mail system, and computers. We now face our biggest endeavor of helping to fund a new facelift to the AMHA website. All of these items have and will continue to benefit the AMHA membership.

The only way this successful internet auction can continue is if we have donations, both horsey and non-horsey, to meet our goal. Please check your shelves, attics, closets, garages, basements, and anywhere else that you might have a valuable item or items that will help us out. Now is the perfect time to send any Christmas items, including decorations and presents you have never ever used and would like to see someone else enjoy!

Remember your item is tax deductible through the American Morgan Horse Institute, so you will receive a taxable donation on your item. Items can be brought to the Morgan Grand National Horse Show. Stop by the display area at the Information and Ticketing Office in Barn 1 to see some of the exciting items available for bid. Items will be listed on Ebay, but there will be a computer and knowledgeable people to help you bid in the office. If you are not familiar with Ebay, this will be a great time to learn, or someone there will bid for you.

Items available during the week will be a Sassy Morgan Horse Model, that walks and talks; a brand new Thoroughgood all-purpose saddle, along with a girth and saddle pad; AMHA Registry Volume 1 (long out of print and hard to come by); a brand new, never opened VHS copy of "Justin Morgan Had A Horse;" a horsey motif brand new, still with tag on, authentic Hermes scarf; a Tony Lama Morgan horse belt buckle; a Morgan horse silver money clip; a beautiful western saddle pad; a brand new pair of Ariat Terrian boots, redeemable in your own size; a new Gallop Home Head model of a Morgan horse, brand new, still in box Stone Mountain Hillock Showson model; some very early issues of THE MORGAN HORSE magazine; and other very interesting items.

If Oklahoma isn't in your plans, send your items to: Barb Rudicel, AMHA/AMHI Auction, 6839 W. Isanogel Rd., Muncie, IN 47304. (We have an over abundance of 1970s-1990s THE MORGAN HORSE magazines, so we do not need those.) Remember that Ebay is available to anyone on the Internet, so it does not have to be a horsey item. Visit the auction site by going to www.morganhorse.com, scroll down, and click on AMHI Ebay Auction.
