American Royal Junior Judging

The UPHA/American Royal continued to support the youth and their activities by hold sponsoring a junior judging contest on Friday. Coordinated once again by Sandy Backer, with help from William Woods University students Mary Mandel and Elise Hagenow, 27 entries, 17 years and under, showed up to take part.

         

All who placed in the top 10 received a key chain, mouse pad and tote bag from William Woods University, a curry comb, shampoo and sponges from Terry Bennett’s Tack and a 2007 Kentucky Stare Fair stake night video from Richfield Video Productions. The reserve champion earned the previous prizes plus a one-year membership to the American Saddlebred Museum. The champion received all that was mentioned as well as an autographed copy of the new young adult novel, “World Champion Material” by Sarah Hinds.
