Three Cousins Featured On TV

by Diana Davidson

A trio of cousins competing at the Morgan Grand National were featured recently on NBC WCSH 6 of Portland, Maine as they prepared to head to Oklahoma City. Emma Ouellette, Sophie Ouellette and Tatum Milley appeared with Bill Green on Green Outdoors in a piece that featured each of them riding as well as being interviewed about showing Morgans at the Grand National.

The young ladies all ride at their grandparents’ Denim Ridge Farm in Springvale, Maine as well as with David Rand. Sophie and Tatum started off with great rides on the first day of the show with Tatum making a blue ribbon ride in the Walk-Trot Classic Saddle Seat Equitation 10-11 and Sophie earning a fourth place in the Saddle Seat Equitation 13 & Under. Emma gets her chance on to shine on Tuesday.

Host Bill Green commented, “Equitation challenges rider and horse from head to hoof – a contest emotional, muscular and intellectual strength that is beautiful to watch.” To view the feature, visit http://www.wcsh6.com/mb/news/local/green-outdoors-equestrian-girls/480306890.
