Shan Donaldson to Have Surgery

Shan Donaldson, wife of photographer Jamie Donaldson is facing serious health issues. Shan has several enlarged lymph nodes and lesion on her kidneys and liver; the doctors believe it is lymphoma. Surgery is scheduled for Monday, March 12 to remove the lesion on the kidney. The plan is for her to spend a couple of weeks regaining her strength before starting chemotherapy. Shan has lost weight and is weak, but says she is not in pain.
Although Jamie is now retired from the show ring, the Donaldsons have been important members of the Saddlebred community for many years.
Please say a prayer for Shan; she needs all the strength she can receive. Shan will be at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lexington, Ky. for several days.
