The prestigious Devon Fair and Horse Show will be held June 2 -5 with the Saddle Horse and Hackney show being held in the famed Dixon Oval on the Devon, Penn., grounds. Kim Cowart of Statesville, N.C., will judge this year’s event.

Show Manager Peter Doubleday recently had a good announcement regarding a few championship classes. "Due to a trust fund grant, the Open Three-Gaited Championship and the Amateur Three-Gaited Championship now have $5,000 each in prize money," said Doubleday. "And again, this is with no entry fee."

Management is also excited about the new, state of the art footing that will be in the Dixon Oval. This will be better for the horses and the exhibitors in case of any inclement weather and allow Devon to maintain its charm and tradition.
