Young Rider Acts as Diabetes Poster Child

LEXINGTON, Ky.--One of the Saddlebred industry’s young enthusiasts actively participates in more than just horse shows.

Next Saturday, June 1, 2002, Logan Gregory will be at America’s Walk for Diabetes, at the Keeneland Race Course in Lexington.

Gregory, along with many other children and adults, supports the race in hopes to raise awareness about diabetes and improve the lives of those who suffer from the disease.

Despite having lived with diabetes for five years, this 8-year-old poster child is extremely active. One of her favorite hobbies is riding. Gregory shows in the academy division under the direction of Pat and Julie McConnell.

America’s Walk for Diabetes will be held at 9 a.m., however check in time is at 7:45 a.m. There will be supervised activities for kids from 10:30 to noon. In addition, lunch will be served at 11 a.m.
