WNY Morgan Show Dates

Plans are nearing completion on the 2007 edition of the WNY Morgan Show, which is the 30th anniversary. Dates for the show are
May 25-27, 2007. The main ring judge is David Young, Auburn, Calif. The carriage judge is yet to be confirmed.

This is a show which has been gaining popularity in the last few years – with 175 horses in 2006, up 35 over the previous two years. This show offers a wide variety of classes and includes a very large selection in the junior exhibitor division, with qualifiers split by age along with championships in equitation and walk-trot. Six classes will also be offered in the carriage division with high point awards judged by a separate judge. New classes for 2007 are AOTS (Hunter, Western and Classic Saddle), amateur in-hand division with championship, Gentlemen’s Western Pleasure and an Adult Equitation.

Tami Johnson will be back as the horse show photographer. Check with her as to availability for farm shoots in the area.

This show is designed with exhibitors in mind, and management is pleased to offer a full schedule of events for exhibitors. This year there will be a welcome party on Thursday night (hamburgers and hotdogs), Ice Cream Social on Friday afternoon (both sponsored by: Dickson Farms, Bath, N.Y.), Wine and Cheese Party on Friday night (sponsored by: Mainstream Farm, Sparta, N.J. and Creekside Morgans, Avoca, N.Y.) and finally the now famous Pig Roast Exhibitors’ Party on Saturday night (sponsored by Friends of the WNY Show and the WNY Show).

Prize lists will be available in late February. In celebration of the show’s 30th anniversary, two $300 door prizes are being offered to be drawn from championship entries. Make your plans now to come and join the fun at New York’s fastest growing Morgan Show!
