Wise Earns 2021 UPHA Adult Challenge Cup National Final Title


 

A competitive group of seven riders entered the Kentucky Horse Park Rolex Arena Friday, July 16, 2021, vying for the 2021 UPHA Adult Challenge Cup National Final champion title closing out the morning session of the Lexington Junior League Charity Horse Show. Judges for the final were Kristen Cater, Tammie Conatser, and John Warner. Following the completion of rail and pattern work, Kendra Wise from Tipp City, Ohio was named the National Champion, unanimously. Wise, rode her American Saddlebred, Callaway's Silent Partner to top honors under the instruction of Shelley Fisher, Sugar Knoll Farm.

The reserve champion was Isabella Privitera, Mission Hills, Kansas riding Walterway's Dignitary. Privitera is instructed by Julianne Rafferty, Fire Stables.

The UPHA Challenge Cup was established in 1972 to encourage competition for saddle seat equitation riders throughout the nation. The UPHA Adult Challenge Cup began in 1987. The mission of the United Professional Horsemen's Association Foundation is to encourage and promote educational activities and competition related to the sport of showing horses. Through our Challenge Cup programs, many juvenile and adult riders have increased their equine knowledge and athletic skills.

Results from the 2021 UPHA Adult Challenge Cup National Final:

Champion: Kendra Wise, Tipp City, OH riding Callaway's Silent Partner, instructed by Shelley Fisher, Sugar Knoll Farm

Reserve Champion: Isabella Privitera, Mission Hills, KS riding Walterway's Dignitary, instructed by Julianne Rafferty, Fire Stables.

Dr. Morgan Wolin, Chicago, IL riding So Smitten, instructed by Chad Cole

Maria Traeger, Wauwatosa, WI riding Who's On First, instructed by Scott and Carol Matton

Macy Brangers, Prospect, KY riding Aunty Bellum, instructed by Betsy Webb

Allison Schuh, Seymour, WI riding Castle Booty, instructed by Scott and Carol Matton

Dr. John Stutts, Louisville, KY riding CH EQ Autumn's Rainmaker, instructed by Cindy Boel, Zubrod Stables
