West Wind Stables’ Winter Sales
Monday, February 28, 2005
Peter and Kim Cowart have been busy moving top young horses from their Statesville, N.C., facility. Highlighting the activity was the junior gaited gelding, Fort Chiswells’ Hi Lite. This young star is sired by Attache’s Royal Asset and is out of She’s So Beautiful, the dam of the Cowart’s electrifying gaited mare, She’s A Red Hot Chili Pepper. The Cowarts represented former owner Raye Lee Mills in the transaction which had the gelding going to Nancy Leigh Fisher with Andy and Lynda Freseth, Hollow Haven Farm, as her agent.
For Dickey Davis, the Cowarts sold Fort Chiswell’s First Flight, a junior park horse sired by Attache’s Royal Asset. This expressive youngster was a Christmas present for Andrea Crumpler Cline from her mother Doris Crumpler and he will remain in training at West Wind Stables.
Moving to Florida with new trainer Mary Jo Schmidt and new owners, the Ligas family, Silver, Blue and Gold is a junior park horse sired by world’s champion Desert’s Supreme Memories out of a Phi Slama Jama mare. West Wind Stables was the former owner.
