Wallens Mark 60th Anniversary

Dick and Marilyn Wallen recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on December 15, 2001.
Dick Wallen is well known in the American Saddlebred industry as a trainer and is perhaps best known for his “trick” horses and his ability to train a horse to do almost anything.
The Wallens are parents of twelve children including horse trainers Rick Wallen of Marshall, Wisc., John Wallen of Rogersville, Mo., and Monty Wallen of Fon du Lac, Wisc. They are also grandparents to seven children.
Marilyn and Dick were married on December 15, 1941 at St. Boniface Rectory in Sioux City, Iowa.
