C.J. “June” Cronan Trophy Nominee
MIKE GOEBIG

The C.J. “June” Cronan Trophy is presented to an equestrian competing under saddle and in a non-hunter and/or non-Western discipline.

Known as a horseman’s horseman, Goebig expertly teamed Carol Dawson to also win the East Coast Park Saddle Championship for owner Holly Johnson. This was his ninth East Coast Park Saddle Championship, that total leaving him behind only the late Johnny Lydon, his mentor.

Additionally, Goebig and Dwayne Knowles had an incredible Morgan Grand National with their Broadmoor entries winning the following world titles: World Champion Amateur English Pleasure, World Champion Ladies Park Saddle, World Champion English Pleasure, World Champion Ladies English Pleasure, World Champion Two-Year-Old Park Harness, World Champion Futurity Two-Year-Old Park Harness, Reserve World Champion Futurity Park Harness Three-Year-Old, and Reserve World Champion Amateur Masters English Pleasure.

A son of Sultan’s Great Day and Callaway’s Lady Lottery (by WGC CH Will Shriver), “Dan” is also a six-time world’s champion of champions, being the only horse in history to win Louisville championships in the Junior, Open, Amateur and Junior Exhibitor divisions.

Following his third consecutive Five-Gaited National Championship at the season-ending UPHA/American Royal, it was announced that that was the final class for the most decorated five-gaited horse ever.

National Horse Of Honor Nominee
