Virginia Carolinas Morgan Horse Club Driving Clinic

The Virginia Carolinas Morgan Horse Club is sponsoring a driving clinic which will be held at the Daughtry Stables in Goldsboro, NC, on April 18, 2009. Registration and coffee and doughnuts begin at 10:30. At 11:00 Harry Daughtry will demonstrate techniques for starting the horse to drive followed by other groundwork such as lining, bitting rig and dumb jockey. After a short break for questions, Harry will present the finished show horses in classic pleasure driving, amateur and open pleasure driving and roadster.

There will also be a silent auction of horsey items, a tack and clothing swap, and fun activities for the younger set. Afterwards, any who want to will meet at world famous Wilber’s Barbecue for family style down-East barbecue, fried chicken and all the "fixings". There will be a very short VCMHC meeting following the dinner.

The clinic is free for all club members with a nominal fee for anyone else who wants to attend. The barbecue dinner is extra for all. Please RSVP to Mary Daughtry at (919)-778-4423.
