Virginia Carolinas Morgan Horse Club Awards Ceremony

The Virginia Carolinas Morgan Horse Club held its annual general meeting and awards ceremony at the Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh, N.C. Three members of the club were recognized for their many contributions to the club over the years. Nancy Warren received the Barbara Beaumont Cole Service Award while Harry and Mary Daughtry received the Jack Benny Award. Elizabeth Abernathy did a wonderful job finding prizes to accompany the championships and reserve championships.

The silent auction was also a decided hit. The list of award winners in the adult division included Coalition Party Line, Futurity Frontier Justice, Graywood’s Lennox, Coalition Royal Billing, Tara’s Firewalker, BW Shrek, Prada and DSB Black Tie Affair. June Davis was named the Overall High Point Amateur and earned the Granada Farm Perpetual Trophy. In the Youth division, Anna Pugh, Dana Weiner, Victoria Daley, Comiskey Park and DSB Black Tie Affair were among the tricolor winners with Dana Weiner earning the October Lion Perpetual Trophy as Overall High Point Youth. The list of tricolor winners also featured Hollybrook Tiphanyslegacy, CBMF Avenger, Preservation Hall, Johnson’s Libby Lee and Tashota’s Black Dove. DSB Black Tie Affair earned the Overall High Point Horse Award and the FCL Just A Miracle Challenge Trophy for owner DeDe Bushneck.
