USEF Announces Hackney Rule Forums

Lexington, KY -- The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) will host two open rule forums in the coming month, to discuss rules as they apply to the Hackney Division. The first will take place during the Kentucky State Fair World’s Championship Horse Show in Louisville, Kentucky, on Thursday, August 25th at approximately 3:00 p.m. in the Lock-Heather room at the Executive West Hotel. This forum will immediately follow the American Hackney Horse Society’s Board Meeting, which begins at 1:00 p.m.

The second forum will take place during the All American Horse Classic in
Indianapolis, Indiana
on Thursday, September 8th, immediately following the last class of the morning performance in the South Pavilion Annex. Both forums will be conducted by members of the USEF Hackney Committee and will be open to all who wish to attend.

The forums will allow exhibitors, trainers and owners to ask questions and voice opinions regarding not only the current Hackney Division rules but also the pending rule change proposals to this division, including discussion on the current presidential modification and possible rule change requiring heel measurements of the 1st and 4th place road ponies at six pre-selected USEF competitions.

For more information regarding these forums, please contact the Breeds Department at the Federation by calling (859) 225-6986.
