The United Professional Horsemen's Association Offers Educational Scholarships Annually with up to $10,000 Awarded



The UPHA Maria Knight Scholarship was established to honor UPHA Professional, Maria Knight and her commitment to providing a college education for her daughter.  

The UPHA Maria Knight Memorial Scholarship is open to applicants who are high school seniors or those currently enrolled in college and planning on continuing their education. Applicants must have at least one parent, step-parent or legal guardian who is a professional horseman and a current Professional Member of UPHA.

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit of the applicant's high school or college transcripts, a resume demonstrating extracurricular activities both in relation to the applicant's equestrian career, participation in activities in school and the community and personal references.

Applications and materials must be received by May 31 of the year in which the applicant wishes to receive the scholarship. The scholarship money will be paid directly to the institution, university, college or trade school upon receipt of verification of enrollment.
