UPHA Tony Ray Young Professional Of The Year: Alex Gravett

The United Professional Horsemen’s Association Tony C. Ray Young Professional Of The Year Award is given each year to a trainer 35 or under that exemplifies a commitment to excellence with integrity and professionalism. Anyone who doesn’t know Alex Gravett should take the time to get to know her.

Growing up showing Morgans and then graduating from William Woods University, she was destined to be a horse trainer. After spending some time working under the direction of Nelson Green and Bill and Kris Knight, she was well groomed for success and ready to go out on her own. In 2014 she opened Kismet Farm in Simpsonville, Kentucky.

Alex works tirelessly in the competitive Kentucky circuit while also remaining an active volunteer. Not only does she hold a position as the National Co-Chair of the UPHA Young Professionals, but she also volunteers with several organizations in Simpsonville. Her drive and ambition will take her far in the industry and this award is just the beginning.
